Where are we located – Arctic Land Adventure
Situated way above the Arctic Circle in Lapland, near the village of Kilpisjärvi in the northwestern borderland of Finland, Vasara Reindeer Ranch is remote, yet easy to reach. Vasara Reindeer Ranch is positioned just off the road that leads from southern Finnish Lapland to Norway’s coastline, near the tripoint where Finland, Sweden and Norway meet.
Nearest airports in Norway are Tromsø (188 km) and Bardufoss (168 km). In Finland the nearest airports are Enontekiö (147 km, seasonal flights in winter only) and Kittilä (247 km). Regularly scheduled airport transfers are offered between Kittilä and Kilpisjärvi three times a week, and private taxi transfers are available on request.
During winter time (Dec 1 – Mar 30) the daily bus connection by Best Arctic in cooperation with Eskelisen Lapin Linjat brings you to Kilpisjärvi both from Tromsø, Kittilä and Rovaniemi (412 km). Eskelisen Lapin Linjat will operate between Rovaniemi and Kilpisjärvi during the rest of the year, as well as Tromsø during the summer.
If you use the bus connection from Tromsø to us, remember to change bus in Kilpisjärvi. Let us know in advance that you are using the bus and we will pick you up at our own bus stop in Peera (Kilpisjärvi:Peera/Arctic Land Adventure).
There are also buses during the peak seasons from Kolari Railway Station.

When approaching form North/Kilpisjärvi: Start to slow down after you see the sign ‘Keinovuopio’. Our crossing was previously located to the opposite of the parking/rest area on the right hand side and Google maps still guides you there. DO NOT turn yet, but continue for about a kilometre more. Turn left, at the crossing there is our sign “Arctic Land Adventure”, which shows the direction. Drive to the end of the road. You will end up to our Main Building and parking area.
When approaching from South/Kittilä: When approaching from the south, start slowing down when you arrive at the small bridge, after the bridge turn right. You will see our sign “Arctic Land Adventure”, which shows the direction. Drive to the end of the road. You will end up to our Main Building and parking area.
